For my friends who work at MS, or know someone who does
I need a favor from the store. I need a Retail (NOT OEM) copy of XP Pro with SP2, full version (NOT upgrade). I will happily pay the MS Store price for it, but I feel a deep sense of moral outrage at the thought of paying the full price of what MS is under the delusion their OS is worth.
The reason for the retail version instead of OEM is because of Microsoft's retarded EULA for the OEM version, which treats any mobo upgrade as a "new" computer for which you must buy a new license. The reason for the full version instead of the upgrade is because while I have a legit WinME CD that I can use to activate the upgrade copy of XP Pro that we currently have, I am not certain if you can use the same "old version of Windows" CD to activate more than one XP upgrade.
